Drum roll please…. Here it is, the best APPLE CAKE recipe EVER! This cake is sooo yummy and perfect for any occasion! It’s definitely worth the effort and a real crowd-pleaser.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

4-5 McIntosh Apples
2 Teaspoons Cinnamon
5 Tablespoons Sugar
3 cups sifted flour
2 cups of sugar
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 cup chopped walnuts
1/4 cup orange juice
1 cup vegetable or canola oil
4 eggs slightly beaten
2 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla extract

1. Peel and cut apples into cubes or slices. Blend cinnamon and 5 tablespoons of sugar, sprinkle on apples and set them aside.

2. Measure dry ingredients into a smaller bowl (excluding the walnuts). Mix the wet ingredients in a large bowl. Add the flour mixture to the large bowl and when thoroughly mixed, add walnuts.

3. Pour half of the batter into your 9 inch greased DEEP pan, then half of the apples. Pour the remaining batter on top and finish off with the remainder of the apples.

4. Bake for 1 1/2 hours or until cake tester comes out clean. Allow to cool before serving.

NOTE: Make sure you use a DEEP pan, cake rises. Bundt pans work well as long as they are deep. ***Obviously, please don’t use walnuts if you are allergic to nuts, tree nuts, etc.
